About the School
The school supports learners aged 9-16 with learning differences, including social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties (SEBD). The school provides education for up to 20 pupils, offering both residential and day placements.
Main Purpose of the Role
As Headteacher, you will provide professional leadership, ensuring high-quality education, continuous improvement, and outstanding learning experiences for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities
📌 Strategic Leadership & Development
Provide inspiring leadership for staff and pupils.
Develop and embed a clear vision and values for the school.
Work in partnership with staff, stakeholders, and parents to generate a positive ethos.
Implement and review the School Development Plan for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with Independent Schools Standards at all times.
Engage with external continuous improvement frameworks and corporate sustainability initiatives.
📊 Performance & Compliance
Monitor and evaluate school performance and report as required.
Ensure management, finances, and administration support the school’s vision.
Develop and review school policies and practices in line with national and local requirements.
Monitor the impact of policies and priorities, taking action where necessary.
🌍 Sustainability & Community Engagement
Implement a One Planet Living sustainability action plan.
Embed sustainability across the school community.
Develop a community engagement strategy.
